Scott “Kid Cudi” Mescudi testified today in Sean “Diddy” Combs’s sex trafficking trial.
Mescudi briefly dated Cassie Ventura, Combs’s on-and-off-again girlfriend of 11 years, in 2011. Mescudi testified that Combs broke into his house and locked his dog in a bathroom after discovering his relationship with Ventura.
Mescudi said his car was then set on fire with a Molotov cocktail in early 2012. He told the jury he knew Combs “had something to do with” the bombing. Combs has denied any involvement.
Frederic Zemmour, manager at the L’Ermitage Hotel in Beverly Hills, also testified today. Zemmour said Combs’s customer profile had several notes to staff, including one that warned he “always spills candle wax on everything and uses excessive amounts of oil.”
Combs and Ventura’s former makeup artist, Mylah Morales, also told the jury she once witnessed Ventura leave a room with injuries after arguing with Combs. The makeup artist said she didn’t call the police because she was afraid of Combs and feared for her life.
Combs is facing sex trafficking, transportation to engage in prostitution, and racketeering conspiracy charges. Combs was arrested in September 2024 as federal authorities alleged he threatened, abused, and coerced victims “to fulfill his sexual desires” between 2004 and 2024. Combs has denied any accusations of wrongdoing.
Court will resume on Tuesday.

Sean “Diddy” Combs appears to be calmly listening as Scott Mescudi testifies, according to CNN. The music mogul is sitting at the defense table with his arms and legs crossed.
Meanwhile, Mescudi is testifying confidently and does not appear to be nervous, CNN reports.
Kid Cudi says he contacted Diddy after car fire
Scott Mescudi said he reached out to Sean “Diddy” Combs after his Porsche was set on fire.
Mescudi said he “finally told him that we needed to meet up, to talk.”
“He had been wanting to talk to me, so after the fire, I was like, this is getting out of hand, I need to talk to him,” he added.
Kid Cudi calls Diddy a 'Marvel supervillain'
Scott Mescudi said meeting Sean “Diddy” Combs was like talking with a “Marvel supervillain.”
Their meeting came after Mescudi reached out in the wake of the car fire.
“Sean Combs was standing there, staring out the window with his hands behind his back, like a Marvel supervillain,” he testified.
“We discussed pretty much the whole story about how me and Cassie first started to date to what it was to how it ended,” he added.
Defense says DNA taken from Kid Cudi's burned car belonged to woman
Defense attorney Brian Steel asked Scott Mescudi if he was aware the DNA sample taken from his burned Porsche belonged to a woman.
Mescudi said he never heard any follow-up about what investigators had found.
Kid Cudi says Diddy apologized to him in 2015
Scott Mescudi said he confronted Sean “Diddy” Combs about the car fire when they met in 2012.
Combs said he didn’t know what Mescudi was talking about, the rapper testified.
Mescudi said Combs apologized to him when they met again in 2015.
“’Man, I just want to apologize for everything and all that bulls***,’” Mescudi recalled Combs saying.
Mescudi said he “found peace” with Combs after the apology.
Kid Cudi describes end of relationship with Cassie Ventura
Scott Mescudi described the end of his relationship with Cassie Ventura under cross-examination.
Defense attorney Brian Steel asked Mescudi: “She played you, right?”
“Yes,” Mescudi said.
Mescudi also clarified that Ventura first told him about her relationship problems with Sean “Diddy” Combs in November 2010. Mescudi and Ventura started dating a year later.

Cassie Ventura told Scott Mescudi that Sean “Diddy” Combs was physically abusing her, but never mentioned sexual abuse, the rapper testified today.
Mescudi added that Combs did not damage his home during the alleged 2011 break-in.
