Nancy Guthrie live updates: New photos and video show ‘armed’ masked man at front door as Savannah pleads ‘Bring her home’
Nancy Guthrie was last seen at her Arizona home January 31
Police have released surveillance photos and videos of a masked and “armed” individual at the home of Nancy Guthrie, the 84-year-old mother of “Today” co-anchor Savannah Guthrie.
Police believe Nancy, who was last seen at her Arizona home on January 31, was abducted. The photos and videos released Tuesday show “an armed individual appearing to have tampered with the camera at Nancy Guthrie's front door the morning of her disappearance,” the Pima County Sheriff’s Department said.
Savannah shared the photos and videos on Instagram, urging anyone with information to call the FBI or Pima County Sheriff’s Department. “We believe she is still alive. Bring her home,” she wrote.
This comes after Savannah posted a video Monday, begging for the public’s help in finding her mother as an alleged ransom deadline passed.
The FBI has said it’s investigating reports of a ransom note sent to media outlets, which listed two deadlines that have since passed: Thursday, February 5 and Monday, February 9. Local CNN affiliate KGUN reports it received a ransom note demanding $6 million by Monday.
Meanwhile, the FBI has said it’s “not aware” of communication between the Guthrie family and any potential kidnappers.

Former SWAT commander describes holster seen in video
Josh Schirard, a former SWAT commander and police captain, told CNN the “universal nylon style holster” seen on the masked individual at Nancy Guthrie’s front door likely wouldn’t be used by someone who regularly carries a gun.
“This seems more like a very cheap, off-the-shelf holster that somebody just stores their gun in. And it just happens to have a belt loop on the back of it that they thought that they could throw on,” Schirard told the outlet.
