Mariah Carey’s sister arrested on prostitution charges in New York

The 55-year-old was arrested at a hotel in Saugerties after apparently using singer's lyrics to advertise her services

Alison Carey, the older sister of singer Mariah Carey, has been arrested charged with prostitution at a hotel in upstate New York.

Carey, 55, was arrested in a Saugerties hotel after an undercover police officer posed as a client, The Daily Freeman reports.

Police described Carey as transient and said that she immediately identified herself as the sister of the pop superstar. She was allegedly advertising her services online. In one posting from August 26, she allegedly featured two photos of herself and mimicked the lyrics to her sister’s 1995 song “Fantasy.”

“I’m a pretty lady looking for guys who are looking to have some fun and get into a world of pleasure that other woman just can't provide two you, woman with the ability to make the earth move for you and to get you to see stars, oh yea with me its, ITS SUCH A SWEET,SWEET FANTASY BABY, WHEN I CLOSE MY EYES I COME AND TAKE YOU ON AND ON.’"

Saugerties Police Chief Joseph Sinagra urged those who may have had sexual encounters with Carey to be tested for sexually transmitted diseases.

This is Carey's second arrest on prostitution charges since 2005.

Carey appeared in Saugerties Town Court and sent to the Ulster County Jail where she is being held on a $1,000 bail. She’s due back in court on August 30.
