Teenager leaps from moving car to escape alleged rapist

The girl was allegedly drugged, abused and raped for 27 hours.

A Southern California teenager leapt from a moving car to escape the man who allegedly kidnapped, drugged and raped her.

The 13-year-old ran left home last Thursday after a fight with her mother, authorities said. She met her attacker, 50-year-old Timothy Marble, at a gas station early last Friday morning. Mr Marble, a convicted felon with a long history of domestic violence and drug charges, offered to give her a ride.

Mr Marble drove the girl out into the surrounding country, where she says he attempted to initiate sex. When she refused refused, the girl says he tied her to a tree and raped her. He proceeded to drive her around for another 24 hours, further assaulting her, injecting her with methamphetamines, and carving his name into her leg with a razor blade.

After 27 hours of abuse, the girl told authorities she leapt from his moving car on Highway 1 last Saturday. She hid in the bushes as Mr Marble called out to her, threatening to kill her. Finally, Mr Marble called 911 himself, telling authorities his companion had run away.

When authorities arrived responded to Mr Marbles' call, the girl emerged from the bushes and told them what had happened. Police arrested Marble on eight charges including kidnapping, sexually abusing a minor and child abuse. He is being held without bail at the Sonoma County Jail.

The girl was rushed from the scene to the hospital, where she was reunited with her mother, local news station Fox 61 reported.
