Donald Trump wins: Protest to be held outside US embassy in London
Demonstration follows angry protests in California, Oregon and Washington
Anti-racist protesters are to demonstrate outside the US embassy in London to “send a powerful message” against the “dehumanising” politics of President-elect Donald Trump.
Stand Up To Racism is mobilising people to form an impassioned rally in the UK capital's Grosvenor Square on Wednesday night.
The property magnet won more than the necessary 270 electoral colleges on Wednesday morning to become the latest but unlikely leader of the free world.

A statement on the group’s Facebook page claims that Mr Trump ran “the most racist election campaign in generations”.
It cites a blanket ban on Muslims entering the US, and the group claims that Mr Trump condoned potential violence against Black Lives Matter activists.
The statement reads: “He has also said women should be ‘punished’ for having abortions, and chillingly sought to downplay the severity of sexual violence.
“The effects of a Trump presidency is set to be felt all over the world as racism and sexism is normalised through the voice of one of the most powerful and visible figures in the world.
“Join us tonight to send a powerful message that London stands against the dehumanising politics of Donald Trump.”
At the time of writing, the Facebook page had been shared 3,000 times, 326 had confirmed attendance and 950 said they were interested in the 6pm to 9pm event.
“Donald Trump used the oldest trick in the book,” said group co-convenor Sabby Dhalu.
“Trump failed to disavow the Klu Klux Klan after it pledged support for him.
“The danger now is racists across the globe feel emboldened by Donald Trump’s victory, and racism and sexism become normalised through the most powerful figure in the world.”
Fellow co-convenor Weyman Bennett said it was vital “black and white” come together and talked of a new anti-racist movement born in the Britain.
“We must stand in the traditions of the civil rights movement and begin the anti-racist fight back." he said.
Former KKK leader David Duke today claimed “we won it for Donald Trump” and Chuka Umunna said Mr Trump and Brexiteers contributed to a rise in hate crime across the West.

Show all 20Stand Up to Racism is supported by trade unions such as Unite, Unison and the NUT, and Labour leader Jeremy Corbyn was one of its 8 October national conference speakers.
It helped organise a refugee support march in London in September.
