An Azerbaijani cargo plane chartered by foreign troops in Afghanistan has crashed north of Kabul, killing all nine crew members on board.
Abdul Haleem, a district governor in Parwan province, said the remains of eight crew had been recovered, adding it was impossible for the ninth to have survived. He said all the crew were Russian, but other reports suggested there were Uzbeks and Azerbaijanis on board.
"The crash may have been the result of a collision with an unknown object," said Azerbaijan's state air company.
