A BBC World Service journalist jailed in Tajikistan on charges of belonging to a banned Islamic group has been released on bail.
Urunboy Usmonov, 59, who has worked for the BBC Central Asian Service for the past decade, still faces prosecution and will have to sign a statement declaring he will not leave the country.
Mr Usmonov was arrested in June on charges of belonging to Hizb-ut-Tahrir.
