Scientist joins up shredded cash
A forensic scientist nicknamed the "jigsaw expert" has helped one fortunate man recover cash he accidentally shredded, piecing together the remains of 200 bills.
The man, Mr Lin, dropped a bag containing Taiwanese currency worth £4,200 into his plastics factory's shredding machine last month. Liu Hui-fen, a forensic scientist at the Justice Ministry's Investigation Bureau, put all the notes back together in seven days, a task, she was quoted as saying, that "required patience".
