Several South Korean diplomats have been accused of trading government documents for sex with a Chinese woman while posted at the consulate in Shanghai.

The scandal was splashed across newspapers yesterday after the foreign ministry and the Prime Minister' office said officials were investigating at least four diplomats, including the former consul general.

One newspaper reported that the diplomats are believed to have given the woman a list of phone numbers of leading politicians.
