Chloe Campbell search: Mother Tammy O'Donnell makes desperate plea for return of three-year-old feared abducted

Search continues after toddler disappeared from the living room of her home on the west coast of Australia while she slept next to her sisters on Thursday

The distraught mother of Chloe Campbell, a three-year-old girl who disappeared from her home in a remote Australian town, has made a heartfelt plea for her daughter's return.

The girl’s parents believe the toddler must have been abducted from their house while she slept in the living room with her older sisters on Thursday morning.

Chloe’s mother Tammy O'Donnell told local news in Australia: "All I've got at the moment is hope - hoping someone will be honest enough to bring her home, have the guts to bring her home.

"You were gutsy enough to take her, now have the decency and the guts to bring her home."

She added: "A whole part of me is lost, and I'm not going to get it back until she's home. It's like a nightmare I can't wake up from".

An extensive police and volunteer search through Thursday and Friday has brought no sign of the girl. Reports of human remains found in a local bay were found to have no relation to the search.

Chloe’s father Garth Campbell earlier said that the window of the living room was found to be open following her disappearance at around 7am, and that there was an adult sized footprint on the car outside the window. He said he believes someone who knows the family took her.

“I don’t think there’s any possible way she’s wandered off,” Mr Campbell told the Sydney Morning Herald.

“She wouldn’t leave the yard by herself.”

He told the newspaper that he usually shuts the windows of the home at night to keep out mosquitoes, but believes one of the latches must not have been closed properly.

The small town of Childers on the west coast of Australia, where the girl went missing, has a population of around 1,500 people. Chloe’s sleeping bag and soft toy are also missing.

Police Inspector Kevin Guteridge said: "There has been some things identified at the scene. I'm not fully privy to what they were but they will be subject to analysis."

A statement from Queensland police said: "Chloe was reported missing after disappearing from the Ridgeway Street address sometime before 7am yesterday.

"She is described as being Caucasian, about 100cm tall with fair shoulder-length hair.

"Chloe was last seen wearing a white shirt with butterflies and bees pictured on the front and yellow pants with love hearts.

"A blue soft toy and a grey blanket are also missing from the home."
