New Zealand breaks world record for the most people covered in paint
The world record for the largest group of people to be simultaneously covered in paint has been set in New Zealand.
A crowd of 4,171 people gathered in the Forsyth Bar Stadium at the University of Otago, Dunedin, to be splattered, sprayed and soaked in a total four tonnes worth of brightly coloured paint.
Such a feat had never been attempted before so Guinness World Record officials had to provide organisers with a base target to beat which they set at 4,000 attendees. This was certainly broken and the paint-drenched crowd celebrated wildly.
