China 'to get MFN status'
President Clinton is expected to announce today that he will renew China's Most Favored Nation trading status, administration and congressional sources said yesterday, Reuter reports from Washington. The sources would not say if Mr Clinton would attach strings to the MFN renewal. One year ago, Mr Clinton linked continued MFN to improved human rights in China.
