Chad admits to massacre
The Chadian government says its secret service butchered unarmed villagers in the south of the country, confirming reports by human rights organisations of a massacre on 5 April, Reuter reports from Ndjamena. In a television broadcast on Thursday night, the transitional Prime Minister, Fidel Moungar, said agents involved in the killings had been arrested and would be tried.
