French police arrest Real IRA suspects
French police have arrested five people suspected of having links with the Real IRA.
The five - believed to be French nationals from the Brittany region - were seized in dawn raids following the discovery of a cache of weapons and ammunition near the port of Dieppe.
French oficials said that investigations had revealed a link between the arrested people and the Real IRA, but refused to confirm that the suspects were also linked to a Breton nationalist group that has previously provided support to terrorist organisations.
