Senator killed

Bogota - Gunmen murdered Colombia's only left-wing senator in what may be the start of a new campaign of terror against left-wing political figures, police said. Manuel Cepeda, 60, was a Communist who served four years in the House of Representatives before beginning his senate term in July. AFP
