Eyes in the sky
CAPE CANAVERAL - The space shuttle Endeavour lifted off yesterday with six astronauts who will use radar to map some of the most environmentally delicate spots on Earth. The crew will spend nine days observing the planet with cameras and a set of radar 'eyes' that can see through clouds, trees, ice and dry sand to gauge the health of the environment. Reuter
