The image of a young girl holding an owl has broken the internet after photoshoppers turned her stern expression into a viral sensation.

A photo of the child, looking focused and serious, holding the owl on her hand with her arm raised, proved popular when posted on news site Reddit.

And her iconic-looking pose has now gone viral after the girl’s face was worked into a number of other funny situations thanks to the Reddit community’s photoshoppers.

Showing the mysterious little girl as the face of the Statue of Liberty, Harry Potter and even an owl herself, Twitter users commended her powerful demeanour, with one tweeting: “She will protect our nation with the power of the owl”.
