Jews keep off alcohol
Jerusalem - Sixty-one per cent of Israelis abstain from drinking alcohol, according to a health ministry survey published yesterday. The sample found only 2 per cent drink alcohol daily and 5 per cent twice a week. The ministry said 50,000 Israelis are "addicted" to alcohol but did not define the term. AFP
