PENSACOLA - A Christian fundamentalist was sentenced to life in prison yesterday for first- degree murder in the fatal shooting of an abortion doctor. The jury had deliberated for about three hours before returning a guilty verdict against Michael Griffin, 32. He was charged with shooting Dr David Gunn three times in the back as Gunn arrived at a Pensacola clinic for work during an anti-abortion demonstration on 10 March last year. Reuter
