Arab-Israeli politicians removed from Knesset for protesting during Pence speech

Arab MPs were forcibly removed from the Israeli parliament after protesting during US Vice President Mike Pence’s speech.

The lawmakers heckled Mr Pence and brandished signs which read: “Jerusalem is the capital of Palestine”.

A scuffle erupted as ushers forced them out of the Knesset.

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu branded the boycott a disgrace. He and other parliamentary members stood to applaud Mr Pence during the disturbance.
