Maya Yagoda is a multimedia producer at the Independent, and creator of Independent TV’s video explainer series Decomplicated. She joined the paper as a video journalist in 2017 and has covered a wide breadth of topics, with a particular focus on breaking news, politics and social affairs. She was the chief video producer for the Independent and Evening Standard’s Help the Hungry appeal in 2020, which won the campaign of the year award at the prestigious Society of Editors awards in 2021.
