Militant hanged
A Muslim militant convicted by a military court of killing a police officer was hanged yesterday in a Cairo prison, the second militant to be executed in Egypt in 10 days, Reuter reports from Cairo.
Hassan Shehata Badran belonged to a group known as the 'Returnees from Afghanistan', which was accused of plotting to overthrow the government.
