Soldiers in Ivory Coast's elite republican guard started shooting overnight in the inland capital, Yamoussoukro, in a row over pay and conditions, echoing a mutiny by comrades in Abidjan last week, Reuter reports from Abidjan. President Felix Houphouet-Boigny has a luxurious palace in Yamoussoukro.
