Tehran - Liberal opposition politicians said they would play no further part in campaigning for Iran's parliamentary elections. A coalition of liberal Islamists from the Iran Freedom Movement, the National Front, and individual activists said the interior ministry, which is responsible for organising next Friday's elections, rejected on Saturday the group's request for permission to hold public meetings.
