Vatican ties

Israel and the Vatican established full diplomatic ties, sealing an accord on mutual recognition and reconciliation after centuries of bitterness between Catholics and Jews, Reuter reports from Jerusalem.

The Vatican will as a result be involved in talks on control of Jerusalem's holy places.
