Vote to save dignity of Stars and Stripes
Washington - The US House of Representatives yesterday approved a constitutional amendment to make it illegal to desecrate the American flag. The vote was 312-120, well over the two-thirds majority required. The amendment now goes to the Senate, which also must approve it by a two-thirds majority.
