Gardening: Cuttings: Organic lessons

THE Centre for Alternative Technology at Machynlleth in Powys is running a four-day course (7-11 May) on permaculture and organic gardening. The course concentrates on practical skills - composting, the value of weeds, pest control - and, they say, is as accessible to beginners as to experienced gardeners.
