Tyson Fury vs Deontay Wilder: Briton reveals reason behind split with trainer Ben Davison
Fury has opted to change his team just months out from his rematch with the WBC world heavyweight champion

Tyson Fury has revealed that he switched trainers ahead of his rematch with Deontay Wilder due to his training with Ben Davison going “stale”.
The Gypsy King takes on the WBC world heavyweight champion on 22 February just 14 months after their dramatic first fight, which ended in a draw.
But with a little more than two months away from his chance at redemption, Fury and Davison shockingly parted company earlier this month.
Fury has decided to link up with Javon ‘Sugar’ Hill – the nephew of legendary Detroit trainer Emanuel Steward – and has elaborated on the reasons behind the move.
“We’re gonna go back to basics,” Fury revealed on ESPN’s College Game Day.
“I trained with SugarHill Steward back in 2010, we got on like a house on fire.
“I was going a little bit stale, repetitive, doing the same things day in, day out for years. I needed a change.”
Fury also vowed to knock out Wilder this time around to settle the pair’s “unfinished business”.

“There’s no more ducking and diving,” Fury said. “The date has been set, and the ‘Bomb Squad’ is about to be securely detonated and the real champion crowned as the world watches on for the most anticipated fight in years.
“This is unfinished business for me, but come February 22, this dosser will finally get what’s coming to him, and I can’t wait!”
