Bangladesh call off Pakistan tour

Bangladesh have scrapped a proposed tour to Pakistan later this month because of security concerns. They were due to become the first international side to tour Pakistan since the 2009 terrorist attack on the Sri Lanka team bus in Lahore.

But the Bangladesh Cricket Board president, Nazmul Hasan, has ruled that out for now. "We have noticed the security situation in Pakistan has not improved significantly, rather it's deteriorated," he said.

Eight Pakistani policemen and civilians were killed and six of the Sri Lanka team injured when gunmen attacked their bus as it headed to a stadium in Lahore in March 2009.
