Cricket World Cup: Five batsmen to watch

India destroyed the West Indies behind a stunning bowling display to secure a 125-run victory at Old Trafford.

The World Cup favourites were restricted to 287/7 with Virat Kohli (72) and MS Dhoni (56) salvaging their innings.

But despite an enticing total to chase, the West Indies were stunned by a dazzling display of bowling, led by Mohammad Shami and Jasprit Bumrah.

Shami picked up the crucial wicket of Chris Gayle, adding Shai Hope and Shimron Hetmyer, alongside Bumrah's measly nine runs off six overs preventing the Windies from digging themselves out of their hole.

Kuldeep Yadav and Yuzvendra Chahal ensured there would be no respite in the middle overs with spin taking over.

The win sees India move within a point of Australia at the top of the table, with a game in hand.

Their form will concern England, who are now in a precarious position and facing an embarrassing group stage exit as hosts.

England face India on Sunday at Edgbaston, requiring victory to keep their hopes of a final four place alive.
