This year sees Manchester City try to defend their crown and claim a historic fourth title in succession. Pep Guardiola’s all-conquering City, who also won the Champions League and FA Cup last season, will have to see off Arsenal, Chelsea, Manchester United, Liverpool and the rest to claim an unprecedented sixth league title in seven years.
Meanwhile Luton Town are making their first appearance in the Premier League, having risen from non-league in an incredible decade of progress. They followed Championship winners Burnley and second-placed Sheffield United in earning promotion to the top flight.

Luton are struggling to get close to the ball at the moment as Brighton settle into their rhythm. It's played out to Mitoma again, but this time his cross is too close to Kaminski.

It's another great run by Mitoma down the left and he clips a brilliant cross into the middle. Gross beats Bell to it and his header loops towards Pedro, but he Lockyer is there to clear it.

Brighton win a free-kick which is taken short to Estupinan. He slides it forward for Mitoma, who has a better angle, but there's too much pace on the pass and it rolls out for a goal-kick.

Kabore's low cross isn't met by any of his team-mates, but Giles picks up the loose ball on the far side. He whips an early cross in, looking for Ogbene, but Dunk coolly chests it back to Steele.

CHANCE! Pedro cuts inside from the left and pulls it back to Welbeck. He's a long way out but the space opens up in front of him as it bounces invitingly. He hits it on the half-volley, but there isn't enough dip on it as it lands on the roof of the net.

WHAT A CHANCE! Estupinan slides a lovely throughball into Pedro on the edge of the box, but Lockyer takes it off his toe. March latches onto the loose ball and squares it back to Pedro, who gets another chance, but he drags it wide.

March is stopped in his tracks on the halfway line, and Andersen's first thought is to send it forward for Morris. He darts down the left before fizzing a low cross in, but Steele gets down to collect.
