Celtic will be underdogs when they host German side Bayer Leverkusen in the Europa League group stage this evening.

Leverkusen are flying high in the Bundesliga and are second only to Bayern Munich after six matches, with Patrik Schick in top goalscoring form and 18-year-old star Florian Wirtz impressing with his early performances this season.

Celtic have made a difficult start to life under Ange Postecoglou, however, and dropped points for the second week in a row following their 1-1 home draw against Dundee United on Sunday.

The Scottish side threw away a two-goal lead as they were beaten 4-3 in a thriller by Real Betis in the opening match of Group G, while Leverkusen beat Hungarian champions Ferencvaros 2-1.

Here’s everything you need to know ahead of the Europa League fixture tonight.

When is Celtic vs Bayer Leverkusen?

The Germans will likely be without Timothy Fosu-Mensah, Julian Baumgartlinger, Edmond Tapsoba, Exequiel Palacios and Niklas Lomb. While Odilon Kossounou (thigh) is a doubt.

But Robert Andrich (suspended domestically) is an option.
