Arsenal may have been forced to progress into the Champions League group stage by the play-off round route again, but that's not something which has worried Arsene Wenger's men in the past.
The Gunners, who take on Besiktas away from home in the first leg tonight, have a remarkable record in Champions League play-off round fixtures - winning all 12 of their previous matches. They have scored nearly 30 goals in those 12 matches, and conceded just three.

The Gunners won the first leg 2-0 in the Netherlands – William Gallas and Emmanuel Adebayor on target. The second leg finished 4-0 to Arsenal at home, Samir Nasri, Gallas, Theo Walcott and Nicklas Bendtner scoring in the rout.

Arsenal's Champions League play-off fixtures Aug 2009: Celtic 1-5 Arsenal (aggregate) A potentially tricky away first leg for the Gunners ended in a 2-0 victory thanks to Gallas’s deflected effort and Gary Caldwell’s own goal. In the second leg, Arsenal won 3-1 at the Emirates. The first of the three goals was from a controversial penalty won and then scored by Eduardo. He was accused of diving, and given a two-match ban by UEFA for his actions, but the decision was later overturned.
