Cristiano Ronaldo looks set to involved in Real Madrid's Champions League semi-final first leg tie with Manchester City after he joined the rest of the squad in travelling to England.

The three-time Ballon d'Or winner picked up a thigh strain last week and missed a league match for the first time this season at the weekend.

It's led to doubts over his availability for Tuesday's game at the Etihad but Ronaldo appears to be giving himself every opportunity to be involved after travelling with the rest of the squad from Madrid to Manchester.

Pictures from the plan showed Ronaldo looking in high spirits alongside team-mate Pepe.

Upon his arrival in Manchester, which Ronaldo called home for six years when a United player, he was mobbed by fans seeking selfies and autographs. He and the rest of the Real Madrid squad obliged on their way through arrivals at Manchester airport.

Among the other players touching down was Gareth Bale, who right now is arguably the danger man for Manchester City to watch as opposed to Ronaldo. The Welshman scored two goals at the weekend in the absence of Ronaldo, hauling his side from two goals down against Rayo Vallecano to win 3-2 and remain in the La Liga title race.
