After defeat to Lyon a fortnight ago, it had looked like being another frustrating night for City in Group F until Silva pounced on a defensive mistake three minutes from time.

Expected to win at home to Lyon the Premier League Champions had a torrid evening, and will be keen to put right their wrongs away to Hoffenheim.

Sergio Aguero has recovered from a foot injury in time for this one, whilst Vincent Kompany and Ilkay Gundogan are also back in the starting XI.

On paper that Manchester City side should have more than enough to get the points in Germany, but we all know the Champions League never quite follows the scripts...

Riyad Mahrez finds himself back on the bench for this one, with Gabriel Jesus adding to the firepower on the sidelines. Plenty of talent between those two, but will they get a chance to show it this evening?
