Klopp had 'no doubts' over Salah

The late show at Southampton continues to build momentum to a feverish level.

Liverpool are now switching focus back from their obsession in the Premier League.

Top of the table though, they can rest easy and focus on the Champions League, where they have unfinished business.

Heartbreak against Real Madrid last season in the final means despite the priority of the league, a kind draw against Porto gives them a wonderful chance to advance to the semi-finals.

Jurgen Klopp's side will also have one eye on this weekend's match against Chelsea, which could influence his selection.

Predicted line-ups

Liverpool: Alisson; Alexander-Arnold; Matip, Van Dijk, Milner; Henderson, Fabinho, Wijnaldum; Salah, Firmino, Mane

Porto: Casillas; Maxi Pereira, Militao, Felipe, Alex Telles; Danilo, Oliver; Corona, Marega, Tiquinho, Otavio

Prediction

Liverpool’s momentum is picking up and it does not appear like it will stop against Porto, especially at Anfield.

Mohamed Salah is back among the goals and a lead of any sort will like satisfy Jurgen Klopp, particularly given the danger they can pose away from home, as demonstrated against Bayern.

A sixth consecutive win looks probable then, though the Reds are now five without a clean sheet, having gone five without conceding before this current run. The Reds return to their tried and tested method in Europe, with a fourth consecutive clean sheet at home (PSG were the last to score back in September) and a 2-0 victory.
