Pep Guardiola admitted his Manchester City side were below their best as they edged out Feyenoord 1-0 to top their Champions League group.

City needed an 88th-minute winner from Raheem Sterling at the Etihad Stadium to extend their club record winning run to 17 matches.

By recent standards it was a flat performance from City but, having already secured a place in the last 16, Guardiola chose to focus on the result.

Guardiola said: "A win is better than not. We are going to analyse the performance - the first half we could do better - but sometimes it is difficult having won lots of games and being already qualified. We didn't have the right tension to play but that is normal.

"We are still winning and we made a fantastic goal, from Raz after an excellent pass from (Ilkay) Gundogan."

Relive the action below:

What time does it start?

The game kicks off at 7.45pm on Tuesday 21 November.

Where can I watch it?

The game will be broadcast on BT Sport/ESPN.

It’s a big game for…

Bernardo Silva. The winger has yet to establish himself in City's first team but has been promised a starting role against Feyenoord and has the opportunity to force himself into Guardiola's reckoning for what is a packed fixture list heading into the Chrismas period.

Remember when…

City visited Feyenoord in September? The Manchester club racked up three goals within 25 minutes and ran out comfortable 4-0 winners.

Player to watch...

Steven Berghuis. The winger spent last season on loan at Feyenoord from Watford, scoring eight goals, and already has seven this season after making the move permanent in the summer.

Form guide…

Feyenoord: LDWDD

Besiktas reach the last 16

The full-time whistle has just gone in Istanbul and Besiktas are into the knock-out stages of the Champions League for the first time after a 1-1 draw with Porto.

Felipe opened the scoring for the visitors but Anderson Talisca's leveller just before half-time was enough to guarantee Besiktas top spot in Group G.

Meanwhile, Spartak Moscow vs Maribor, another early kick-off, ended 1-1 in Group E - a result which does neither side any favours ahead of the meeting of first-placed Liverpool and second-placed Sevilla at the Ramon Sanchez Pizjuan.

BT Sport's analysts have been fairly impressed with Mo Salah this season. Here's what they had to say about the little Egyptian a few moments ago...

Rio Ferdinand: "Mo Salah has been phenomenal this season. It makes it a nightmare to play against. You don't know where they are.

"Salah is scoring different types of goals. That's the impressive thing about him."

Frank Lampard: "Salah's full of confidence and when Liverpool are on form, they're as good as anybody to watch because they've got so much ability going forward."

Michael Owen: "His movement off the ball is second to none at the moment."

Sevilla vs Liverpool previous meetings

These two teams have only ever played each other twice before and Liverpool are yet to come out on top.

In the 2016 Europa League final the Spanish side emerged as 3-1 victors, while at Anfield earlier this season the two teams drew 2-2.

Guardiola: We're not Champions League favourites

Napoli coach Maurizio Sarri and Leicester boss Claude Puel have both recently claimed that Manchester City are the best side in Europe but boss Pep Guardiola, in the build-up to tonight's game against Feyenoord at the Etihad, has played down his side's chances of winning European club football's elite prize.

"I say thank you very much to both of them," said Guardiola, "For Manchester City, a team that still needs a history in Europe, it is a big win (against Napoli).

"That doesn't mean we are favourites to win the Champions League but it's nice. It means we are doing some things very well.

"But obviously people usually say the favourite teams are FC Barcelona, Bayern Munich, Real Madrid and others. But that people put us there, is a big honour. That does not mean we have done anything because we haven't."
