Manchester City winger David Silva to miss vital Ajax Champions League tie
Manchester City's stuttering Champions League campaign suffered another potential blow last night as winger David Silva was almost certainly ruled out for next Wednesday's game at Ajax.
The Spain international, 26, pulled up in his country's draw with France on Tuesday and delayed his flight back to Manchester so that he could spend yesterday receiving treatment on his hamstring.
He was due back in England last night and will have a scan today, with the injury likely to rule him out for up to three weeks. That would mean he will also miss this Saturday's League game at West Bromwich Albion and the visit of Swansea a week later.
