Former Manchester United outcast Javier Hernandez has been named the Bundesliga player of the month for November.

While United are struggling for goals, Hernandez has been in fine form for Bayer Leverkusen this season.

The Mexican striker, also known as "Chicharito" was sold by United for £7m in the summer.

He has since scored 12 goals in 17 appearances in all competitions for the German side - that is five more than Wayne Rooney has netted for United this term.

In addition, Hernandez has scored six Bundesliga goals this season, that's more than the combined total of Premier League goals from Rooney and fellow United striker Anthony Martial.

Hernandez scored three goals in three Bundesliga matches last month.

In total, the in-form 27-year-old has scored five goals in his last five games in Germany's top flight.

Louis van Gaal's United are next in action against West Ham in the Premier League on Saturday.
