Ole Gunnar Solskjaer targeting trophies after being named Manchester United manager

Manchester United host Barcelona in the Champions League quarter-finals on Wednesday night.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's stunned PSG in the previous round to make it this far and will have to be at their very best once again with Lionel Messi and Co. coming to town.

Barca have all but wrapped up the La Liga league title after victory over Atletico Madrid at the weekend but it's the Champions League they want the most and they will be keen for a positive result in this first leg.

It promises to be a star-studded affair with Paul Pogba, Luis Suarez, Philippe Coutinho and more set to take the stage.

Here's everything you need to know:

Predicted line-ups

Manchester United: De Gea, Young, Smalling, Lindelof, Shaw, Fred, McTominay, Pogba, Lingard, Rashford, Lukaku

Barcelona: Ter Stegen, Roberto, Pique, Lenglet, Alba, Rakitic, Busquets, Vidal, Messi, Suarez, Coutinho

What time is kick-off and how can I watch it?

The game kicks off at 8pm at Old Trafford.

It will be broadcast on BT Sport 2 and BT Sport 4K UHD. For those without access to a TV it can also be live streamed online via the BT Sport website.

Prediction

Manchester United did the unthinkable once in the last round, and Barca aren’t the vaunted team of a few years previous, but it’s still hard to imagine the Spanish champions in waiting leaving Old Trafford without at least one away goal.

They can be got at and there are goals to be had if United (Romelu Lukaku specifically) strap on their shooting boots – despite the brilliance of Marc-Andre Ter Stegen between the sticks – but Messi and Co. will be looking to kill the tie this week ahead of next week’s second leg.

Expect Luis Suarez to get on the scoresheet, at least once, with United perhaps giving themselves a chance ahead of the trip to the Nou Camp with one in reply. 1-3.
