Liverpool travel to Slovenia on Tuesday night to face 14-time national champions NK Maribor.

The Reds have fallen short in their opening two games of the Champions League - drawing to both Sevilla and Spartak Moscow - and will feel they must win this game if they want to win the group.

But Jurgen Klopp's men have been in a rough patch of form, drawing their previous four games including the stalemate against Manchester United on Saturday.

Follow all the action below:

Nevertheless, if a front line of Roberto Firmino, Mo Salah and Philippe Coutinho - or even Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain - turn up, it should be far too much for opponents who sit bottom of Group E.

Maribor, with 28 points from their opening 12 matches, aren't even the best side in Slovenia right now and have not won a game in the Champions League proper since 1999. It's three points or disaster for Liverpool.

Here's everything you need to know about the game:

What time does it start?

The match kicks off at 7.45pm (BST) at the Ljudski vrt on Tuesday 17 October.

Where can I watch it?

BT Sport ESPN will be broadcasting the game.

It’s a big game for…

Oxlade-Chamberlain has struggled since moving to Liverpool

Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain. Every game seems to be a big one for Oxlade-Chamberlain following a frustrating start to life at Anfield. But with Sadio Mane set for a significant spell on the sidelines through injury, the 24-year-old has a chance of a proper run in the team if he can prove to Klopp that he deserves it. If he gets a start against lowly Maribor on Tuesday night he needs to grab the opportunity with both hands.

Joe Gomez. The England under-21 captain was one of the stand-out performers against United at the weekend but has been rotated with fellow youngster Trent Alexander-Arnold so far this season. Another strong performance here could persuade Jurgen Klopp he deserves a longer run in the first team.

Pochettino: We need to prove we can kick it with the best

Spurs are level on points with Real Madrid after two matches in Group H and manager Mauricio Pochettino sees tonight's fixture as the perfect chance for his players to prove they belong in the big time.

"It is a big opportunity for us to show that we can compete at this level," he said earlier this week.

"It is so special to play here in the Champions League. It is a great opportunity for us all and we are so excited."

Zidane: Spurs aren't a one-man team

Harry Kane has been Tottenham's and England's star man so far this term but Zinedine Zidane, the Real Madrid manager, doesn't believe merely dealing with the in-form striker will ensure an easy night for his players.

With the likes of Christian Eriksen and Toby Alderweireld also in the Spurs side, Zidane knows Mauricio Pochettino's men have the capacity to be dangerous in all areas of the pitch.

"Both teams have the same points," Zidane said earlier this week. "Tottenham are not just about Kane and we're going to prepare for this game well."

Ferdinand: Madrid test a great audition for Kane

Rio Ferdinand reckons tonight will provide Spurs hitman Harry Kane with the perfect chance to prove he is capable of playing for a club the size and stature of Real Madrid in future.

"This is a great audition for someone like Harry Kane," Ferdinand said on BT Sport a few moments ago.

"If he's ever thinking about leaving Spurs, where he's the golden boy, this is the kind of game he wants to play in and produce his best football and show he can be put in the top tier."
