The Dutch forward scored his first two goals for the club after his £25million move from PSV Eindhoven, the first a smartly taken finish after a nice touch and the second a wicked curling effort - he also set up Marouane Fellaini's crucial third goal.
His performance was hailed far and wide, with United manager Louis van Gaal even declaring "I want to kiss him tonight".

But unfortunately for United fans his performance also seems to have attracted the attention of supporters on the continent - with Real Madrid and cynical United supporters quickly deciding that the 21-year-old's future lies at the Bernabeu.
Someone has even managed to find an old Tweet from Memphis (dated February 2013) where he says 'Hala Madrid'.
