Manchester United’s season took another turn for the worse as they went down 2-0 at Olympiakos in the first leg of their Champions League last-16 tie on Tuesday.

Alejandro Dominguez and Joel Campbell, on loan from Arsenal, scored in either side against a woeful United in Athens, leaving David Moyes’ side with a mountain to climb ahead of the second leg at Old Trafford in three weeks.

Robin van Persie spurned United’s best chance, blazing over the bar when clean through on goal in the last ten minutes.

The result means all three of the Premier League’s sides have lost 2-0 in their first legs this month, with Arsenal going down to Bayern and Mancester City to Barcelona last week. Chelsea visit Galatasaray on Wednesday night.
