Real Madrid won the El Clasico, beating Barcelona 3-1.

The build-up to the game was dominated by Luis Suarez, who made his debut in the match following the expiry of his four-month ban for biting at the World Cup.

Within four minutes, the former Liverpool striker had made his mark as part of a front three featuring Lionel Messi and Neymar. The Uruguayan provided the pass for the Brazilian striker among the South American trio, who then found the back of the net.

But whilst it was a dream start for Suarez, it wasn't to have a fairytale ending.

Cristiano Ronaldo scored from the spot before Pepe gave them the lead and Karim Benzema added another with a fine finish after a slick move.
