Manchester United captain Wayne Rooney took to Twitter last night to commend PSG's performance against Chelsea in the 2-2 Champions League round-of-16 draw at Stamford Bridge, saying that it was one of the "best performances with 10 men" he had ever seen.

PSG were forced to play with a man down for the majority of the game, after Zlatan Ibrahimovic was dismissed in the 31st minute for a foul on Oscar. The result meant PSG progressed to the quarter-finals of Europe's top competition.

After the majority of Chelsea's players surrounded the referee before Ibrahimovic's dismissal, the Swedish striker later described them as "babies".

"When I got the red card all the Chelsea players come around," he said.

"It felt like I had a lot of babies around me."
