Following the final round of group stage fixtures, the Europa League will soon enter its knock-out phase, with teams from the Champions League, such as Manchester United and Valencia, dropping down.
WHEN IS THE DRAW?
The draw for the round of 32 will take place after the Champions League round of 16 draw. The Champions League draw takes place on Monday 14 December from 11am GMT.
HOW DOES IT WORK?
The sides will be split into two pots, with the group winners in one and the runners-up in the other. The group winners will be seeded, the runners up will be unseeded. Of the eight teams that have dropped down from the Champions League, the four with the most points from their group stage (including Manchester United with eight points) will be seeded.
Teams from the same group or the same association cannot be drawn against each other.
WHERE CAN I FOLLOW IT?
The Independent will have live coverage of the draw, including all the build-up and reaction.
