Manchester United vs Manchester City as it happened: Juan Mata goal secures derby win for Jose Mourinho's men
Relive all the action from the EFL Cup clash as the two Manchester sides went head-to-head
Manchester United welcome rivals Manchester City to Old Trafford in a re-run of last month's derby clash. Pep Guardiola's men emerged victorious then, beating United 2-1, but Jose Mourinho will be out for a convincing victory tonight as he attempts to inflict revenge on his old adversary. But like Mourinho, Guardiola has just as much reason to win. His side are without a victory in five which could extend to six should City fall short at Old Trafford - an unwelcome record for the Catalan. Follow the latest here.

How about Ibrahimovic? He started his Man United career like he was as good as he's led everyone to believe, but he has been a peripheral figure in his last two games, against Liverpool and Chelsea. Will he rediscover his goalscoring touch tonight?
The teams are out are we are three minutes away from kick off. How is this one going to go?!
33 seconds: Manchester United have survived that opening half a minute which troubled them so much against Chelsea. Phew.
1 min: Although they probably should have been behind at 70 seconds! Navas runs down the right and leathers a cross onto the head of Iheanacho who somehow heads over from six yards. Early let off.
13 mins: Iheanacho picks up the first yellow of the game. It's a very wet surface at Old Trafford with a few players losing their footing and the Nigerian happened to lose his when chasing down Blind, subsequently crashing into him.
20 mins: Neither side really getting the better of the other so far. City are getting more possession but aren't really doing too much with it so far. Plenty of time to go, of course.
25 mins: Yellow for Valencia now. Fernando nicks the bouncing ball away from the right-back and it's quite high and quite late from Valencia. Could have been worse.
35 mins: Shaw goes on a surge down the left and Pogba combines with Ibrahimovic before the big Swede sees his shot deflected over.
And now Rashford goes through but just can't pull the trigger. United well on top now.
37 mins: City are gettinbg very wasteful in possession. United have had 72 per cent of the ball in the last 10 minutes. Can Guardiola's side hold on until half time?
