Harry Kane is among 10 changes made by Tottenham manager Mauricio Pochettino for tonight's League Cup fixture against Brighton at White Hart Lane.
The only Spurs player to retain his place from the team which lost 2-1 to Newcastle on Sunday was Belgian defender Jan Vertonghen.
England winger Aaron Lennon will lead the team out as captain.
The last time he started for Spurs, the striker Kane scored a hat-trick in the 5-1 Europa League win over Asteras on 26 October.
Spurs have, however, scored in each of their last 24 home matches in the League Cup, and tonight face a Brighton team who have failed to win in their last six games in all competitions, since a 3-0 win at Burton Albion in the League Cup in September.
Tottenham: Vorm, Naughton, Fazio, Vertonghen, Davies; Dembele, Stambouli; Lennon, Kane, Townsend; Soldado.
Brighton: Walton; Calderon, Dunk, Hughes, Chicksen; Ince, Holla, Forster-Caskey, LuaLua, McCourt, Colunga
