The club have dismissed claims by Carlisle that the pitch invasion which marred the Johnstone’s Paint Trophy match on Tuesday was handled by police “in textbook fashion”.
Leeds had claimed three of their players were punched or pushed as fans ran on to the pitch. “Our players found themselves in danger,” chief executive Shaun Harvey said. “We will be contacting the FA to make the complaint, and have spoken to the Cumbrian Police on the basis that we’re going to make the complaint.”
