Massimo Cellino reveals he altered Leeds tactics during QPR defeat ahead of planned mass walkout

Leeds owner Massimo Cellino has risked further anger from the club’s supporters after revealing that he made a tactical team switch at half-time during last weekend’s 1-0 defeat to Queens Park Rangers.

Cellino is already under-fire from the fans after promising to sell the club to supporters’ group Leeds Fans United, only to perform a dramatic U-turn three days later and vow not to attend games while refusing to sell the club before 2016.

But Cellino has already gone back on his word having been at Loftus Road last weekend, and he told The Mirror that he went into the changing rooms during manager Steve Evans’ half-time team-talk to change his tactics.

Cellino comically added: "Didn't work anyway. We lost the game."

The 59-year-old Italian is currently fighting a second Football League disqualification for tax evasion back in his homeland, and a fan walkout will take place at Elland Road on Saturday in the 17th minute of the Championship match against leaders Hull in protest against Cellino’s handling of the club.

The timing has been selected due to Cellino’s superstitious disliking to the number 17, although he is not expected to be at the match.
